The short version
Thrive Careers costs me nothing, ever. I am under no obligation to accept any role or to keep using Thrive Careers. We only name me to an employer with my permission. If an employer I am introduced to hires me, the employer pays Thrive Careers, never me.
1. About these terms
Thrive Careers is a trading name of WEBROVER Pty Ltd (ABN 32 607 465 538) ("Thrive Careers", "we", "us"). These terms apply when I (the "Candidate") book a call, submit a form, upload a CV, or otherwise ask Thrive Careers to market my profile to employers. By doing so, I agree to these terms. Our employer clients work with us under separate terms that do not apply to me.
2. The service is free
Thrive Careers does not charge me any fee, now or in the future, for marketing my profile, introducing me to employers, or advising me. I do not pay if I am hired. If an employer hires me after an introduction from Thrive Careers, the employer pays Thrive Careers a placement fee under its own terms. Nothing in those terms makes me liable to pay anything.
3. No obligation
I am under no obligation to accept an interview, an offer or any role, to continue with Thrive Careers, or to use only Thrive Careers. I can pause or stop at any time by telling Brian or emailing brian@thrive.careers.
4. What Thrive Careers does for me
- builds a confidential profile from my CV, my LinkedIn profile and what I tell Brian;
- markets that profile to employers using data, artificial intelligence and personal introductions;
- arranges conversations with employers I agree to meet; and
- gives me market information and honest salary advice.
We use our best efforts, but we do not guarantee any interview, offer, role, salary or timeframe. Employers make their own hiring decisions.
5. My consent and control
- We first share only a de-identified version of my profile.
- We name me, and share my CV and contact details, only after I agree to that specific employer.
- I can tell Thrive Careers which employers to exclude. We will exclude my current employer unless I ask otherwise.
- I can withdraw my consent at any time. After I do, we will stop marketing my profile and will not share my details with any new employer.
6. What I agree to do
- Give accurate and honest information, including about my experience, qualifications and any admissions I hold.
- Confirm that I have the right to share my CV and the information in it.
- Tell Thrive Careers if I am already in a process with an employer, so we do not duplicate it or approach them on my behalf.
- Tell Thrive Careers if I receive an offer from an employer I was introduced to by Thrive Careers, so we can arrange the employer's placement fee with the employer. This does not create any cost or obligation for me.
7. Other recruiters
I can work with other recruiters and apply for roles myself. If I am already in a process with an employer, I will tell Thrive Careers so we do not approach that employer for me.
8. Privacy and confidentiality
Thrive Careers handles my personal information in line with its Privacy Policy. We keep my profile and conversations confidential. We will not share my details outside the circumstances described in the Privacy Policy, and I can ask to access, correct or delete my information at any time.
9. Limits on responsibility
Thrive Careers is not my employer, my agent for employment purposes or a legal or financial adviser. The information and advice we give is general guidance based on market knowledge. I make my own career decisions. To the extent the law allows, Thrive Careers is not liable for losses that arise from an employer's decision, the outcome of any interview or offer, or my reliance on general advice. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right I have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded.
10. Ending the arrangement
Either of us can end this arrangement at any time. If it ends, Thrive Careers will stop marketing my profile promptly. On my request, we will delete my personal information in line with our Privacy Policy, unless the law requires us to keep it.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always at thrive.careers/candidate-terms with its last-updated date. Changes do not make me liable for any fee.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and each of us submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
